I recently worked on an issue where a client noticed four Archive mailboxes in Outlook with her name. To provide some understanding about the Exchange environment, the servers were running Exchange 2010 SP3 RU5. Also, the users have Outlook 2010 SP1. Although the mailboxes showed her name in the display, they actually belong to her delegates. This was verified by viewing the Archive mailbox folders and their content.
Apparently, this a bug in Exchange 2010 SP3 RU1. Although I don’t have a way to verify or test it, it’s also been reported with Exchange 2013 CU1.
To resolve the issue of duplicate Archive Mailbox display names, the following Outlook hotfix must be installed on the client: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2817574. In conjunction with this fix, Outlook 2010 SP2 must be installed if it isn’t already. After completing the installation, the Outlook client will need to be restarted. Afterwards, the Archive mailboxes will now show the name of their correct owners, instead of the currently logged in user.
